Freemake Video Downloader 2.1 gets automated download mode

The Freemake downloading utility was 1^st launched in July of 2010. Due to its simplicity of use, beautiful interface and an astonishing amount of saving options, it has rapidly become one the most popular apps of a kind among users. Everything you needed to do to keep a media file, was to copy its URL address, paste it into the tool, choose necessary output settings and click to save it for offline viewing.

The new Freemake Video Downloader brings greater simplicity and lets users download videos in a single click. The software lets establish batch settings for video quality, action (download/convert/extract), and destination of downloadable videos. Once enabled, the automated mode will be applicable to all downloads and will save users a lot of time. E.g., you can convert all videos from Freemake Software, burn YouTube to DVD, copy DVD discs, etc.

Open the downloading tool;
Pay attention to the top right corner of the utility;
Move the toggle to activate the mode;
Depending on your goal, select quality (optimal parameters, minimum size), then type of action (choose if you want to convert a film, get only music from it or save as is). And finally set a folder where the tool should save your final file.

Since that moment, all your clips will be saved with these settings. You can change them at any moment or disable one-click download mode to get the movies in a usual manner and select custom parameters for each file.

Upon requests, we have also integrated the parental control into the program: now adult sites can be locked with a password. If you need to turn this option on, follow the steps below:

Run Freemake software on your PC;
Go to File -> Options -> General;
Scroll down to Parental control;
Click the button Lock adult sites;
In a new window, insert your password for adult sites.

Please keep your password in a safe place and try not to lose it. However, if it happened, don’t hesitate to contact our support team for detailed instruction to restore the password.

Besides that, if you aware that your kids might see any inappropriate content, select these options:

Do not show thumbnails of adult videos;

Save adult videos as hidden.

The 1^st feature will lock the images of the videos. Instead of a small movie screenshot, you will see Freemake logo. The 2^nd option will save clips to the folder previously chosen by you as hidden, so no one will know that they are there. To see the hidden files,

click the Start button;
then select Control Panel and choose Appearance and Personalization;
after that go for Folder Options;
now select the View tab;
check Advanced settings, then enable Show hidden files, folders, and drives;
click the OK button to apply changes.

Due to the new architecture (each process is calculated in a separate thread), the program responsiveness is much accelerated.
