Download free YouTube app for blocked videos

Get the freeware. Before saving it, please note that it is compatible with Windows computers only. You can enjoy full software performance on machines running Windows Vista and higher versions. Server OS is not supported.

If your PC meets this requirement, download and run the installation file of YouTube Downloader. You can install the tool for disabled videos on any of your local drives. However, pay attention during installation because some files will be installed on your C drive to provide the software stability.

To install the utility for downloading blocked YouTube videos simply click the “Next” button whenever prompted. By default, you will get quick-start and desktop icons.

Set the freeware to rip blocked content

Run Freemake software for blocked YouTube videos. Go to File – Options – Connection. Click “Enable proxy” option.

If you already have proxy settings for the sites, insert them into the Freemake Video Downloader. If not, we recommend reading this article to find a free proxy server (better in the US or UK). Click “OK to apply changes.

Copy blocked YT video links

Copy the link to a restricted video that you can't save from the YouTube website. Please note that the video should be blocked, but not deleted or private. Freemake Video Downloader can’t rip deleted content. With Freemake, you may also download private YouTube videos, but only the ones you have access to.

Paste links to the freeware

Click the “Paste URL” button to add blocked YouTube content to the Freemake program. The software lets you save links one by one or convert several URLs at the same time.

When your links are detected by the freeware, you will see a settings window. Choose a format for your blocked YouTube video file and one of the available qualities. All the options provided in the list are taken from YouTube. That means that if you don’t see a particular resolution, it’s not available for this video.

Download blocked YouTube video

Finally, choose a folder. The Freemake software for blocked YouTube videos will save your geo-restricted data to whatever folder you choose.

Now click the blue "Download" button to start the downloading process. Keep in mind, that when you use a proxy, your connection becomes slower. Thus it may require more time to download blocked videos from YouTube.

In the settings window, pay attention to the three options: Download only, Extract audio, and Convert to. Select the third one, and then choose your device or a necessary video format from the drop-down menu. Then rip a video as usual.   • To rip YouTube restricted videos faster, don’t browse the Net while downloading is in progress. However, if you suddenly need the whole power of your Internet connection speed for some other purpose, you can pause the process for some time. To do it, click the “Pause all” bottom in the bottom right corner of the tool. This solution also works for non-restricted videos.
