Add VOB files for converting

To convert VOB files, add them into the program. Click File – Video to import the files. Alternatively, you may simply drag and drop them into the tool to convert VOB to MP4.

In case your movies come in Video_TS folder created with some free DVD burning software for Windows 10, add it to the software by clicking the "+DVD" button. Choose "to MP4" or other video format

Select the format to change your videos to. Everything depends on what are you going to do with the final clip. If you plan to watch it on TV or DVD players, we recommend choosing "to AVI" option. To enjoy the movie on your phone, tablet or upload it online, select "to MP4" format. MP4 is accepted by all popular gadgets and web-services. To stream a film on your website, choose "to MKV" green bubble. To embed a clip in a presentation, transcode it "to WMV".

Edit conversion settings

Choose a preset. When you made up your mind about the output extension, click it to open its settings. Each output option comes with ready-to-use conversion profiles. A profile is a set of particular video and audio codecs, resolution, frame rate, visuals and music bitrate, and some other settings. Each profile is named by quality or by a gadget, e.g. Apple, Sony, Android, Blackberry, and other portable devices.

You might also create a new profile with personal settings that will exactly meet your goals. Just click the cogwheel button and copy the desired video specs into it.

What is VOB file extension and how to play it?


VOB (Video Object) is a special container format for DVD-Video multimedia. VOB files may contain digital video, digital audio, subtitles, DVD menu, and other navigation data merged together into a single video stream.

To open a VOB file on a computer, you will need a video player software with extended formats support. You may use VLC Media Player or Media Player Classic. Another option to play VOB files is to convert them to another popular video format, such as MP4 or AVI.

How to compress large VOB videos?


If you plan to transfer the film to a phone or tablet with limited free space, you can make the output movie size smaller. Right before starting the transforming process, click on the weight button and insert the file size that you want to get. Please don’t go below the minimum size recommended by the utility.
